DIY Cocktail Stirrers for a Holiday Party..
Materials:
- 1 pack wooden skewers
- Gold spray paint
- Decorative mini gift boxes (you can find a pack at Daiso for $1, buy them here, or make them yourself)
- Masking tape
- Sharp scissors or pruning shears
Instructions:
- Arrange the skewers in an even line with the pointy ends up.
- Place a strip of masking tape across the skewers about 3″ down from the tip, wrap it around the back. Add another strip of masking tape just below the first piece, overlapping a bit.
- Set the taped skewers outside on a paper bag or other surface you don’t mind getting painty. Spray the pointy ends of the skewers with gold spray paint, avoiding the part of the skewers below the masking tape.
- Let dry, flip, and paint the other side of the skewers.
- Once the paint is dry, remove the masking tape and trim excess length off of the bottom of each skewer using sharp scissors or pruning shears. I trimmed about 4″ to make my skewers the right height for my mason jars, but you should measure against the glasses you’ll be using (the top of the skewer should be 2–3″ above the rim).
- Spear the center of the bottom of each mini gift box with the pointy end of a skewer..
